On July 27, 2017, PCM-G hosted a cybersecurity Summit designed to support the public sector’s security mission. PCM-G Mission First was held at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, D.C. The event was kicked off by Alan Lawrence, President of PCM-G, and attended by many of your colleagues. General Steven Spano, Cisco’s Edna Conway, and PCM-G CISO Lauren Burnell addressed how government has become a leading target and consumer of counterfeit and grey market IT, due to manipulations of the government procurement process by bad actors. In addition, we collectively addressed the growing security threats to mobile devices in the public sector workplace.

Spano also served under Gen. David Petraeus and the Multi-National Forces in Iraq. Spano will discuss the latest in cyber threat detection, prevention, and remediation. He will also discuss what IT changes he expects to see from the current administration
